Rice cooker Hard boiled eggs 電鍋白煮蛋


What you need: Rice cooker, eggs and water

Cooking time : 15 minutes, 20 minutes or 30 minutes

你所需要的:電鍋、蛋、水

煮食時間: 15 分鐘,20 分鐘 或 30分鐘

Most rice cookers have only one bowl for cooking, as the picture on the left. If you have this type, eggs should be placed in the bowl. Another type of rice cooker heats water in a larger compartment around the bowl that holds the rice and water, as the picture on the right. If you have this type as I have, simply place eggs in the outer compartment while making hard boiled eggs.

大部分的電飯鍋只有一個內鍋用來煮東西,如果你的鍋子是這一種,如左上圖所示,煮蛋時蛋就放在這個鍋內。如果你的電鍋,像我家的大同電鍋,有分外鍋和內鍋,外鍋用來裝水決定煮的時間,內鍋裝米和水煮飯,如右上圖所示。煮蛋時不要用內鍋,直接放在外鍋裡面即可。

Directions for Hard boiled eggs:

  • Wash eggs with water, no need to dry them
  • Place eggs in rice cooker as many as you like in one single layer. Do not stack them. Add one teaspoon of water in the rice cooker.
  • Turn on the rice cooker and set a timer to your desired doneness.
  • I cook the eggs in 15 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes for your reference as in the pictures. You can adjust the time on your own.
  • Once the eggs are done, remove them immediately from the rice cooker. Place them in a bowl of cold or ice water. The rapid cooling of eggs will make egg shell peeling easier. Also the longer cooking, the easier peeling.

白煮蛋作法:

  • 把蛋用水洗淨,不需要擦乾。
  • 把蛋放入電鍋中,蛋的數量不限,確定只鋪一層即可。加入一小匙水
  • 把電鍋按紐打開,開始計時,煮至你喜歡的熟度即可。
  • 我把蛋煮15分鐘,20分鐘和30分鐘,如照片所示,讓你們做為參考。你可以按你自己喜歡來調整煮的時間。
  • 蛋煮好後,立即取出,放入冷水或冰水中。快速讓蛋冷卻,可以使蛋殻更容易剝離。同時,蛋煮得越久,蛋殼也越容易剝離。

Note: Eggs are a good source of protein. You can eat hard boiled eggs directly with salt and pepper, with hummus or with Guacamole. You can mash them with Mayo and mustard to make an egg salad sandwich, simply adding bread and lettuce. You can make soy sauce eggs with them in my other recipes.

筆記:蛋是很好的蛋白質來源。你可以直接加鹽和胡椒來吃白煮蛋,也可以沾市售的鷹嘴豆泥或鱷梨泥一起吃,非常健康美味。你也可以把蛋和美乃滋,一點芥末混合均勻,再加麵包和蔬菜,做成蛋莎拉三明治。也可以做或滷蛋。
